A Curlew Sandpiper was on the beach there early afternoon

Loch Paible, North Uist
The ***Wilson's Phalarope*** was seen on its favoured pools early this morning

Knockintorran, North Uist
2 Ruff were there this evnening

Stoneybridge, South Uist
3 Whimbrel were there today

Ormiclate, South Uist
6 Black-tailed Godwits and 3 Ruff were on the machair there

Kildonan, South Uist
78 Black-tailed Godwits were on machair this afternoon

Always Birding
My first Ruff of the year on patch here at Askernish in amongst 250 Golden Plover and 17 Black-tailed Godwits this morning. A flock of 22 Linnets at Hallan cemetery (at least half juveniles) is always good to see. Elsewhere there were just 17 Black-tailed Godwits on the machair between Daliburgh and Tipperton

6 Sooty Shearwaters south past Brevig late afternoon. A flock of 44 Lesser Black-backed Gulls also headed south out to sea during a break in this afternoons intense showers.
