Having had to visit Benbecula this morning it would have been remiss of me not to look in on the Great Crested Grebe at Balgarva and the American Golden Plover at Loch Bee.

A Pied Flycatcher, 2 Bramblings 2 Blackcap, 2 Goldcrest and 5+ Yellow-browed Warblers were in Askernish township mid afternoon. A Swallow was seen mid-morning

Barra.
Clearly a few new migrants around today. There was a small arrival of Chiffchaffs and at least 2 Willow Warblers and a Garden Warbler. The Pied Flycatcher and Ring Ouzel were still at Creachan, the Treecreeper remained at Castlebay and a Fieldfare was at Glen. Yellow-browed Warblers were everywhere, maybe 50-60 around the island. A Short-eared Owl, scarce on Barra was at Bruernish.
